By fostering a collaborative environment, we aim to empower individuals and organizations alike to take informed actions that contribute to the overall betterment of water management.

For centuries, Bermuda has relied on rainwater harvesting as a source of potable water, so the earliest building designs captured and stored this valuable resource. However, as technology, healthcare standards, and the environment have evolved, some of the infrastructure and maintenance methods have not fully kept pace. While some installations have adapted to tackle waterborne risks, a large majority still collect, store, and convey water using the same methods that have not changed for decades.

It is quite common to encounter myths like “limestone roofs clean the water” or the familiar claim, “I’ve been drinking this water all my life, I’ve never gotten sick,” which are often used to defend against necessary improvements in standards. However, the reality is that data about water quality, its effects on health, and associated financial implications reveal a starkly different scenario. Wet Work is here to provide a balanced perspective on this essential issue.
